All great things take time. Just like wine tastes better as it ages, seeds take time to become beautiful flowers, and even the littlest of things require us to trust the process to create something majestic. We put effort, strength, time, and love into building something that we will cherish forever. Just the same as relationships are. We need the right amount of love, compassion, and respect to build a bond that will last a lifetime. And as Ara said, they are like clay sculptures or those 3D prints that Gideon makes. It’s meant to be together, but it takes time to be a perfect fit. It takes adding material and sanding it down before it matches perfectly.
Although they may have been different from who they were when they first met, through time, they have grown and evolved as partners and as individuals, witnessing every other version of themselves through all good and bad times. And as Sailor Moon once said, “Without the bad times, we wouldn’t appreciate the good times”. Together, Ara and Gideon make a better place for the best version of themselves. In the small, quiet, mundane moments of every day, they vow to love just as much as the huge, crashing, thunderous ways that life and love sometimes require.
“You are my first love, my only love… even if we’re reborn in another life, we’ll find each other, and then we’ll fall in love again.” – In a similar vein to Usagi and Mamoru, Ara and Gideon bring out the best in one another and are undoubtedly meant to be together.
